Welcome to the Country House Le pietre raccontano!

"Le pietre raccontano" ("Tales from the stones") is a Country House located on a ridge named “Ornatore”, amongst the hills surrounding the ancient village of Rocca d’Evandro, in the very north of its provincial town: Caserta. History, art, scenery and natural beauties are the main features of this rural settlement. Centuries-old olive groves landscape the area around the Country House overlooking the Garigliano Valley and the Aurunci mountain range. An added privilege to its idylls is its location bordering upon the regions of Campania, Lazio and Molise. In fact, this territorial advantage, is an ideal starting point for visiting the nearby Montecassino Abbey, the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park, the beaches of the Tyrrhenian Coast (Gaeta, Sperlonga, Scauri, Formia and Baia Domizia).

From the windows of this stone-built house and from its gardens an old Medieval Castle can be admired. At first it belonged to Ettore Fieramosca, Vittoria Colonna and to the Cedronio Marquises, now it is in the ownership of the Municipality which is wholly committed to renovate it to its former condition under the supervision of Caserta and Benevento appointed to the preservation of environment, art, architecture and history. The Country House “Le pietre raccontano” is a perfect destination for all those visitors looking for a holiday in the countryside where its amenities create a feeling of relaxation accomplished with tasteful cuisine in a traditional way of life.
